Been steadily working on the HMS Hood and started the hull planking. I have a total of 14 planks fitted at this time. Also I have added some lights to the hull.

I have finally reached the stage of shaping the hull to prepare it for planking. Now having added some balsa to the bow, I'm not sure how much more I have to take off of the balsa. Think a lot more than what I have done.

Lighting is in progress on the next deck and when finished the hull planking will start. Still waiting on the wood I'm being sent by a friend from FB for the Endeavour.

I am slowly getting the 2nd layer hull planking on the Endeavour done. I'm thinking of doing all the lighter coloured 2nd layer planking, then painting it and only after that doing the darker 2nd layer hull planking, Only need to do one lot of masking off as I am painting the lower hull white as was done ( Read more... )
