Life
The ceiling fan/light is finally up in the new kitchen and today we will be working on the resulting ceiling patching and the second coat of wall paint (post primer!). We will be handing out candy in the new neighborhood while doing the reno. We are starting late today because I've been getting awful charlie horses (ah, to be pregnant) and Marc needs solid time to put into his schoolwork.
After the walls are finished, we move on to priming and painting the hideous cabinets and the trim. It's likely that those things will be done by me tomorrow while Marc is in school. Marc has to spray paint the hinges and de-gloss the cabinet surfaces 'cause I'm not allowed. I've yet to decide on hardware--none exists right now--but I've narrowed it down. I've been combing craigslist for a used stove/oven.
We have to shop and clean our old house on Tuesday so no reno will get done. The poor house has been getting really messy cause we tend to cook/eat/shower/sleep here but then run off to work on the new house. My kitchen is a disaster but that ends today *grrr* Chaz, Laura, and Garick will arrive on Wednesday!!! I miss all of them and can't wait to give my monkey a big hug. Mari will be over that day for party prep, as well. The baby shower is on Saturday, so we need to get a move on :-)
