I bought a house last week. It's a good size and we like the neighborhood, but there is a lot of work ahead of us. So far, we've only worked on the kitchen. Some remuddler installed the cabinets w/o a level. Ferserious. We've removed all but one upper cabinet and that is how it will stay. I have a large framed mirror for one stretch of wall and we will be installing open shelving on another. We are reusing the cabinets as base cabinets in two other places. I'd like to replace the existing counters but really have to prioritize due to money constraints. There will be new butcher block counters on the newly created cabinet areas, however. I bought a circular saw via craigslist today. Let the games begin.
