It's a boy!

We  had another ultrasound today and there was a wee penis on the screen! We have pics too :-) So, the baby's name is Sebastian Hugh Rogers. Chaz hates the name...but we love it. And for those who might be wondering-->yes, I fell in love with the name "Bastian" as a child watching The Neverending Story.

We'de be thrilled to host you in October but if you are trying to be here for the shower, it's set for Nov 6th so that Chaz will be in town for it :-)

acck! i prolly won't make it for the shower. i picked october cuz i have a monday holiday so it would be an extended weekend. i'll just bring my shower gift when i come or buy it online & have it shipped to you :)

OH! my friend w/diabetuz mentioned that the gestational kind sometimes can become the official kind a few years down the road. I know you mentioned yer doc mentioned it should be ~fine~ post-baby, but just a head's up to mebbe keep an eye on it anywho.

It's not so much that it *becomes* the official kind, it's that GD is an indicator of a less than fully functional pancreas...which means diabetes in the future. Keeping to the diet and exercise plan can stave off diabetes for a while but I will more than likely end up with it in the future because my pancreas will continue to falter. Sadly.
