Writing my joy

Nov 05, 2010 01:09

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo again this year, and I'm determined to complete my novel this time.

I've been happier, more content, and just... Better in the last four days making time to write than I've felt in months.

I've broken the 10K on my word count. Less than 40,000 to go before I 'win'. I've shoved my inner editor into a deep dark hole with a booklight and a selection of our favorites. Then I told her to shut up and read. She isn't happy, but she's letting my muse take the reins for now.

And my muse is Running the Show.

I love it. I can't wait to sit at the computer again at night. The words just pour out.At this rate, I might get a functional manuscript out of this madness.

50,000 words. 30 days. I can do this.
