Been Gone A While
So, I've been AWOL from the internets for the last week or so. I had that test to take just this last Saturday and was studying like crazy. *sigh* I'm just soooooooo glad that it's finally over. Hopefully I did well.
Let's see...what else have I been doing....
Well, starting from the beginning....
Ria came into town and we had a good time over at Scandia (Family Fun Center). Once we got bored with the arcade games, bumper boats, and go-carts, out game of mini-golf was interrupted by our desire for picture-fun with the strange little structures on the golf course. I think my favorite was climbing into a the little sail boat in the water. Luckily we remained undected and didn't get caught (or kicked out). It was all fun, and Ria ended up giving me my birthday present, which was great. I ended up with the first season of Mutant X. For a low-budget TV show, it was pretty inventive (cheesy or not, I loved it).
The following weekend after Ria's visit I went off to Reno. I ended up staying with my aunt and uncle in their motel just outside of Reno in Lovelock----which was nice, especially since they've got it all nice and everything. I ended up going to Boomtown, Circus Circus, and a couple of casinos. I didn't really win big, but at least I didn't lose either.
The weekend after that I went and hung out with a couple of my cousins, which was great. We just hung out and did stuff.
Then, this last weekend I spent slaving away on my studying. After the test my sister and brother-in-law came over to visit, and they ended up leaving pretty late. I've been to a couple of stores today to get some stuff. Of course my general clothes shopping dwindled down to me getting one shirt and a new pair of shoes, which I have been in dire need of. I have tennis shoes and casual wear stuff but I didn't have anything to wear with dress pants for when I start going in to different interviews. Thank god I found the perfect ones for me----no pencil heel, well-polished enough to look distinguished, and durable enough that I won't be running back to the stores any time soon for new ones.
Now I'm currently attempting to reconnect with internet people. Apparently being gone for so many days has left me with a lot of things to get through. A lot can happen in just so little time.
*sigh* Maybe I'll leave my story-writing for tomorrow.
