juliederosaFor the 3rd night in a row I slept. I feel the raw, exposed nerve feeling slowly diminishing. My body has less aches and pains, and I am much less twitchy. I hate to get my hopes up that I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, but I do feel much more positive about the temporary nature of this episode.
I was just looking at my flickr account and I was astounded to see just how many pictures I have taken in the past several weeks. Buying a camera was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. Who would have guessed that a $100 digital camera bought on a whim would produce this much joy in my life? Not me! I am learning new things about my camera and taking pictures everyday, and last night Chris got out some books from his collection on photography for me to take a look at. I can't wait to get home and check them out.
I got my white noise machine today at work. Its kind of great. It insulates me from the general office noise and thats a very good thing. I also made a call to the job coach and left a message. I mean, I'd like to get on with it and get through it. Generally my boss seemed less tense yesterday, and when she asked me how I was doing she seemed like she really was interested in the answer. I'm not doing the chit chat thing with her. I am just focusing on what I need to do here, doing it, and going home at the end of my day.
I have to say, Serena has been a life saver these past few days. We spent so much time together and I think its time we both needed. Our relationship is comfortable and easy. She doesn't worry and nitpick over me and I try to be a good listener for her, and if I am lucky, make her laugh. Its been really great having her around so much.
The holiday weekend is fast approaching and Chris and I are trying to come up with something to do...like a day trip or outing. Its going to be crazy with people wanting to be outside and most everyone has Monday off, including Chris and I. So, I'm going to do some poking around on the internet and see what I can come up with that is an unconventional excursion that we won't be crowded out doing.
OK. I guess I need to get my ass in gear.
There are a lot of new pictures up on my flickr if your interested. Just click on the photo and be magically transported to my photostream.
