THC vs dreams

So, since I got here I've been having a lot of crazy dreams because I'm not allowed to consume marijuana. They even diagnosed me as having a "cannabis use disorder." (*rolls eyes*) They've said that vivid dreams can be a sign of cannabis withdrawal, but I always had vivid dreams before I started smoking weed (age 26) and it hasn't eased up in the 5 weeks I've been not smoking, so I think it's just a return to the norm.

I've been complaining about it constantly, because the dreams are annoying. They're not nightmares, per se (although some of them have been scary or disturbing), but it's just frustrating, because they could be gotten rid of SO EASILY. And you can get delta 8 in Texas legally, but they say they don't do that here.

It's ridiculous. They don't allow smoking here but they DO allow caffeine (and encourage it.) Caffeine is actually addictive, and people going through caffeine withdrawal are literally in pain. That's why I don't drink soda or coffee.

Anyway. I keep trying to convince them that they should at least give me some delta 8 gummies before bed or something, but they refuse.

What I just thought of, and what maybe might have swayed them if I brought it up earlier, is this: I should have said I was having sex dreams about the staff, and gotten really really graphic describing them.

I'm not, I haven't, but still, that would be funny. The dreams are just blah. Last night I dreamed I was trying to play VR in my meta quest headset but I couldn't get enough space because I was in this big convention center type place and people were all around. Then it turned out my psychiatrist (here) was going to be giving a lecture, and we had this assignment that we had to bring in our favorite article from a scientific magazine, and the only article I could think of was this article I read in Wired probably 22 years ago about artificial diamonds... so I got on google to try and find it, but I couldn't find it anywhere, which is ridiculous because i KNEW it existed.

Looking for it now, I found it in 30 seconds. https://www.wired.com/2003/09/diamond/

Regardless. Just throughout the dream I was totally frustrated. That's how it is in most of the dreams.

I wouldn't mind if I actually got to have sex dreams. That could be nice (or terrible).

Anyway, that's it for this morning, y'all take care. Also, "y'all" is getting a red underline as being an incorrectly spelled word (or not a word), the Southern Poverty Law Center should get on this. Straight up discrimination.
