Violet is much bigger than Cherrygrove, and if you're interested, there's a Gym, too! To make money...it seems like we're meant to battle trainers to earn it, but some people are working for Nurse Joy in the PokéCenter, or at the PokéMart part time.

Some people go to the Gym's to battle Gym leaders and get badges. I'm not sure what the badges do...but it's an accomplishment to get them. And yes! If you battle those people and win, you'll earn money.
