Return of Swampy Things

Finn's eyes. Those sweet blue eyes...

Monday at 5:00 PM he was at the pediatrician for a follow up appointment, and he was declared free from sinus infection. I was told to administer his last dose of Amoxicillin that evening, just to complete the full 10 days. He likes the stuff, so that was easy.

Then we had one good day, which was swimming day.

Wednesday morning I drop him off at childcare and notice yellow goop in the corners of his eyes. I ignore this mostly because I'm sick of sickness. However, when I picked him up Wednesday there was no ignoring it. His eyes were goopey, yucky, messiness. He seemed a bit sensitive to light too.

I decide it's probably best to get him to the doctor the next morning considering how quickly the eye crap returned. Calling the doctor's office this morning I found the soonest the doctor can see him is 11:30! Which means I won't get to work until 1:30, at BEST. He woke up with crusted-over eyes, but has not been making goo like he was yesterday. So, I made an appointment for Saturday. I want to miss as little work as possible.

Hopefully he just has a bit of a cold and he's responding to it with eye goop. Rachel and I noticed he had a bit of a rasp when he coughed Saturday. "Crunchy" was Rachel's word for it. I've also been a bit, um, something or other. Perhaps I have a cold, or maybe allergies, but I'm ignoring that because it is ignorable. I saw my doctor Monday, so I'm sure I'm fine. And when I need them, a couple of Ibuprofen seems to make it even more ignorable.
