I went on a SPREE today. Merry Christmas me. I have to say, I fricking love that stores are rolling out their spring clothes as snow dumps down upon January. We all know we'll be in a deep freeze until at least early April, but ALL THE WINTER CLOTHES ARE ON SALE! Wonderful, fantastic news for me, since I am cheap, extremely cheap when it comes to clothes. Not to mention extraordinarily picky. It has to fit exactly right or it ruins my day, I need spandex in my shirts (100% cotton just doesn't feel right, maybe this is from years in leotards?) and I go for beautiful colors. Old Navy has some fantastic designers working for them because I can always find something bright and slightly Partridge family to love in their giant mega-lo cheap warehouse.
Today I found TWO beaded cardigans, they're partially angora, gorgeous and vintage looking. I got a pale pink one and a kelly green one. UNDER 15 BUCKS FOR BOTH. My kind of shopping. I also scored a v-neck sweater in brown, orange and pink, Dunkin' Donuts colors now that I think of it. Makes me look like Ernie.
Got this from the maternity dept. (this is the SECOND maternity top I've bought from Old Navy, I'm an extra small!) You can't tell, but this shirt is pretty pretty! Rainbow pinstripes!
Then I got some shirts that will hopefully help me feel a little more feminine (always a problem when you dress for warmth and comfort). The green color is called After Dinner Mint.
THEN MY HUGEST SCORE. I got a RED WOOL PEA COAT, which I have wanted for the longest time. I have a purple coat, but red is really fantastic. When I see people wear them I feel like they're probably youthful and get excited about simple things. I have a rule that if people wear red shoes or red pants they're automatically allowed to be my friend. I have several friends of these types that I have yet to meet.
This is longer than my wool pea coat, but you get the idea. Mine is even more red, and short and wooly! I can't even tell you how cheap it was, and it was my size! The bargain gods smiled upon me today, I almost cried when I found this.
Got this belt, and a scarf too.
These are the pants that I went in for in the first place! I didn't buy them the other day, I bought these green flannel boy ones. Comfy but not very adorable, LIKE THESE. Which I guess are totally sold out now, this was on the website in big red letters: We're sorry, but this item is no longer available in any color or size. Please continue shopping to find other styles you like.
GAAAAAAAAAH, I get positively high when I get deals like this. Especially since clothes shopping is usually an ordeal for me, wraught with dissapointment.
Anyhow,
CR
