Things
1. Damn it hurts when you bang your toes into something. It's one of those stop you in your tracks pains.
2. It is really easy to sleep past noon living in a basement.
3. There were fisticuffs last night because of a board game. Trivial Pursuit, no less.
4. I hear it's snowing, but I'm heading out to get some rations, cold be damned.
5. I've made a minor girlish mess of Eric's room, there are crafts and pretty things everywhere.
6. I read in Entertainment Weekly that they predict a Kate Winslet nomination for Best Actress in ESOTM, but NOT a Jim Carrey nomination. To this I say, as my German teacher once taught me, 'Pfui!' (It means, 'you suck', loosely translated). He distilled his rubberface antics into a character that was so twitchy and unsure of himself and then visibly relaxed into a funny affectionate person who had finally found a sliver of happiness, it was beautiful, and yeah, Kate was okay, but to be honest I thought her 'quirky girl' was every bit as overdone as the token oddball in any WB sitcom. Maybe she was supposed to lack grace, maybe her speech about the way people expect her (and 'quirky girls' everywhere) to provide some salvation from the drudgery of life was supposed to placate the people who felt insulted by the role. Eh, I'm overthinking it. All I'm saying is that Jim Carrey breaks my heart in that movie everytime.
7. I've done some pruning of the journal. If I deleted you from the friends list, it's for one of the following reasons, I'm sorry if you feel slighted:
a. You never update and I think you may have a new username/have quit livejournal.
b. You and I have never met in Real Life. I have to also ask these people to stop IMing me. It's getting to be a little creepy, I'm sorry, I just dont' have any interest in chatting with people I don't really know. I barely even talk to my actual friends on AIM, I'm just not an AIM kind of gal.
c. You are a friend that I made through Adam. I'm sorry, you're all awesome girls, but I can't be reminded of him, I just don't like it. It bothers me to even have to bring him up right now but I just needed to explain.
