Health / Body-Related

Hi, I'm on another health kick. Woo! etc.

Well, except this is a bit more of a long-term plan, since the short-term stuff keeps not working, and it's become evident that I simply have to exercise, preferably hard, preferably every day. It's taken me a really long time to accept this, and I still have blips, but I'm getting there.

I probably have a filter on here for related burblings, but these days, I'm mostly hanging out at SparkPeople. I use the site to log food and exercise, and since there's also the facility to blog, I keep it all on there. Feel free to go have a look etc.; if you want to create your own account, and you feel like being nice to me, ask me for an invite and I'll get some points added to my account.

Meanwhile, I cannot recommend stumptuous.com highly enough. It's primarily about weight training for women, but there is a lot of related info, e.g. on nutrition, other forms of training, building things, hell, there's even a page of cottage cheese recipes (gloriously silly and yet useful!). Also, and for my own ease of use, there's this excellent Progress Tracker Sheet, which not only logs the hard data, but also soft measures, and uses the term "ninja" liberally. I <3 the whole site very much.

So there we are... I've just finished my Incredibly Healthy Tuna Salad Lunch (ok I cheated and went to Pret. Pret are good, you can look up all the nutrition information on their website, and then you can add it all into SparkPeople, and keep it for future use in your list of Favourite Foods, yay!), and now I shall return to contemplating cottage cheese, and indeed the weekend, which will hopefully be filled with Incredibly Healthy Activities, and also Very Useful Productivity, with a small side order of, you know, going out and seeing people and drinking drinks. Anyone got a lift going to Basingstoke at all, pretty please with cherries on top (no cream, thanks!)?

weightloss, update, links
