Owlets!
I finished these today:

I hadn't done any crochet since I was a teenager (or even younger... I don't remember!) so had to re-teach myself in the process. But it was fun, and they're quite quick to finish if you keep at it.
I'd found the pattern at the Roman Sock blog, via an item published at CraftyCrafty. I decided to make them because I love them, but then it turned out they also make a handy present for altered_state's father, whose birthday it is at the weekend... hence the rush today...
Tomorrow, I shall be packing my bags and trying to make the house look less chaotic, and on Friday Col & I are off to Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig. Apparently, my sister will also be there, rah!
ION, Sock Wars III kicks off on Friday... guess I'll be hunting down yarn shops in Leipzig then! ;-) Nope, sign-up closed on the 3rd... although I can still apparently register... huh?
