... this place goes quiet during bank holidays, doesn't it? It's a nice thought, though, that you're all having fun, and, vicariously, I hope you'll have good stories to bring back :-)
Work is progressing quite well here, I think we'll complete today, ahead of JW's arrival, so we can spend tomorrow having fun - if the weather's as nice as it is today, there should be parks or similar. My cabin fever is currently at an acceptable level, kept in check by occasional excursions (thank you ali_anarres and daneel_olivaw) and a nice long shower this morning. I've done more cooking and washing up than I've managed all year put together; when possible, I've done some tidying as well, and have developed some competence with a hacksaw, which shall be tested again later. Colin's taken to power tools like a duck to water, so the main bulk of construction is being done by him and my dad - hoorah! I'm getting some rest, too, although the large quantities of food mean I sleep less well than I hope.
Right, about to speak to my stepmum; my mum phoned earlier, too, so let's see if we can make it a hattrick eh?
