just a little rock ‘n roll on the side, just for good measure

AKA: The Beatles Music Post of Doom, for no other reason than the fact that Panic amuses me, and I usually listen to The Beatles on Sundays, because it’s an old, inexplicable habit of mine.

This is how much of a huge dork I am )

this is where i admit to being a loser, music

Yay! Thank you so much for these. I plan on taking all of them. I was just talking today about how I needed more Beatles songs, and then this post appeared. So awesome!

I can't judge you, as I can honestly see myself in a few decades time making this exact same post for MCR. Because I'm just as big a dork for them as you are for The Beatles.

Taking the couple of songs I don't have. Thanks. :)

You're welcome! *laughs* that makes me feel sort of old, too :)

I grew up on my mom's Beatles albums. I recorded the documentary off the TV and watched the movies over and over with my sister. The whole family listened to a Beatles radio-show every Sunday until my sister got old enough to be the DJ. My college roommate and I became friends because "I was John and she was Paul." I've read every book about them, ever, and I know TONS AND TONS of trivia about EVERY SINGLE SONG.

Um. Solidarity! <3333

Totally!! How horrible is it that I USED to know tons and tons of trivia, but I don't trust my memory, because that was way back in college. My college roommate and I used to just sit around reading Beatles books and listening to Beatles songs. I MISS THOSE DAYS!

Oh, man - I love, love, love the Beatles. One of my first musical memories is riding to school, listening to the White Album in the car.

If we're talking (relatively) older Beatles, I love "I Saw Her Standing There" off of Please Please Me. And the version of "Twist and Shout" that sounds like John has completely stripped his vocal chords and then downed a couple shots of whiskey.

I love "Getting Better," and I'm a sucker for "With a Little Help From my Friends" which seems like an obvious Sgt. Pepper's choice, but it's such a good song!

It's insanely hard to choose favorite Beatles songs - I'm no good at narrowing down.

Oh, oh, John on Twist and Shout is one of the best musical performances EVER. There is really no bad choice of Beatles songs. They ALL rock my socks.

Yay Beatles! I've been desperately needing to get more because all I have on my comp is Sgt. Pepper. All my parents' Beatles were on LPs, too. I still listen to them when I'm home. I just told my mom today that I expect their record player and their whole collection, not just the Beatles. ^_^

I used to have a stereo system with a turntable on it just to listen to my parents old records, but I think they got rid of them all :( It's SO SAD.

Oh noes! People should cherish records! My mom was telling me how they got a new shelf to put the records on, but they only kept the ones that would fit and I was like WHAT?! But she reassured me that they only sold the ones that were doubles and not one that she saw me listen to. But still....

I know!! I saved what I could when I was in HS, but then I moved out and they all disappeared! Actually, that might be a lie. I'm going to have to check, because they could very well still be in the cellar somewhere. Hmmmmmm.
