He stopped thinking. He got in his car and drove and told himself that no matter what, no matter what happened or would happen, Patrick was his Patrick, and now there was a little Stump to spoil.
He still hated Adrian with the fiery glory of a thousand suns, though. He was pretty sure that wasn’t going to change.
