we had to watch this short film

in which malcolm gladwell talked about how the beatles played shows 8 hours a day, 7 days a week at a german strip club and bill gates got up at 2 in the morning to program at washington university until 6 and how you have to make time in your life to dedicate work to the things you're passionate about if you want to be successful (with the assumption that the fucking beatles and bill goddam gates are models of success for us all).

it really depressed me.
