Obligatory Birthday Meme
On this day...
30 years ago (1979)
I turned a year old. I think I was living in Ft Benton, MT at the time, and that our family shared a house with another family who had a girl my age. It was probably a big family birthday, and I think there's a picture of me with chocolate icing smeared all over my face.
25 years ago (1984)
I turned six. I had just started kindergarten at Franklin Elementary. I don't know what I did for my birthday that year, but it was probably a mixed party with cake, since I didn't have my first sleep-over until first grade. Had a crush on Kory at this time.
20 years ago (1989)
I turned eleven. I was in the fifth grade MAC programme at Franklin. I can't remember what I did that year, either, but I probably had mittagessen, Shira and Annalissa over for a sleep-over. Had a monster-crush on Alex that made me blush so hard my head steamed every time he looked at me.
15 years ago (1994)
I turned sixteen. This one, I remember. I had a big, girly party, and we all went to Pt Townsend to mess around at Ft Warden and go shopping. mittagessen, Teresa, Alicia, Cassi, Rachel and a few others were present. Was dating Nick -- or possibly Mike -- at this time.
10 years ago (1999)
My 21st. And you're going to guess I don't remember this one either, right? Wrong! I was in Britain, so I could and had been drinking for two years already. Quite heavily at times. But on this day, I don't believe I drank at all. I had just been dumped by the guy I'd been dating for two years, and decided that a friendly gathering in my dorm room was exactly what I needed. njfuzzy, tryste, Vanessa and a few others were there, and we watched old videos of the Masters of the Universe cartoon.

I turned 26. I was living in VT with arathain, wavestar, and spottedsparrow at the time, and I cannot for the life of me remember what I did that year either. I suppose I could use LJ to find out, but where would be the fun in that? Had just started "dating" (in the online sense) chiv ... er ... for the first time.

I turned 30. My cousin's wedding was the same day as my birthday, so I did get to have cake, but it was sort of anticlimactic as far as milestone birthdays go. Had lunch at a pub with my parents and Dustin.
