I had a pretty awesome day today. I finally got to hit that awesome used book store in Nashville and spend as long as I wanted to browsing the shelves. I spent just over $100, but I am 12 books richer, so I won't complain. I found a pirate history book while I was there, so I called
elanya and asked her if she wanted it. Hadn't heard her voice since last December when she came up to visit. I also got to go to the Provence Cafe next door and have a tasty smoked salmon sandwich and awesome tomato-basil soup for lunch. They were out of fruit tarts, but I went back in later and they had some more. I bought one of the big ones ($27 for an 8" tart, and worth every penny) to bring to my Aunt and Uncle's house for dessert. While I was at the cafe and the bookstore, I realised that I was more relaxed and contented than I have felt in a very long time.
Tomorrow, I'm going to church with my family. Alyson (my five-year-old cousin) is going to be singing at the service. Afterward, we're going back to my cousin Angela's house for lunch, and then to a Children's Theatre production of Tom Sawyer. I'll head back up to Clarksville in the evening and maybe have a game night with my crew, if they're up for it.
I don't think I could ask for more from a birthday weekend.
