putting the win back in winter
we all know i hate winter with a deep, unshakable passion. however, inspired by haikuninja, i have decided to attempt to be more positive. so here are some nice things about winter.
1. clementines. nature's own individually-wrapped candies. they're seasonal and the only thing i look forward to in the winter.
2. a freezing rain fell a few days ago, making all the trees look like they were made out of glass.
3. i had the pleasure of watching a huge sheet of snow slide off a roof. pure luck: the bus i was on was going by just as the snow came crashing down. it was awesome.
4. possibly the most beautiful act of nature is the icicle. we have a gigantic one hanging from our rain gutter and i am just in love with it. icicles make a routine walk from the bus stop into both a stroll through an art gallery and a daring dash for your life (have you ever been hit by a falling icicle? ouch).
5. snowball fights.
6. i drink a lot of hot tea.
that's about it. everything else about winter sucks.
