Eugene or Bust
I love road trips because there is soo much adventure in it! Kick back in another city, forget my problems, meet new people, laugh with my friends, bond , and look at boys. This trip I did that plus I was on a quest, an epic quest to have more insight on the male mind and dating. I mean I know the basics sex, food, ESPN-maybe some music and poker, but I wanted to know more. Guys, like mathmatical equations are not only confusing, but frustrate me as well, and I am pretty slow when it comes to both. So I enlisted the help of a " Coalition of The Wlling" (Ashley, Danie and Emilee K) to help me be more confident to talk to guys and flirt, so it can help my failing dating scorecard.
Driving down to Oregon was filled with music, car dancing, laughing and of course step one of the quest the art of car flirting. We saw this guy in an S.U.V. driving south as well and we kept passing each other. I would smile, wave and give him the look, too bad it wasn't light I would have written down my number to see if he would call. I think he got bored of us girls and kicked it into high gear after about 20 minutes though. Onward we drove and once we figured out which correct exits to take to get to Eugene, we ran into a semi-druck driver that obviously thought he owned the freeway. last time I checked 18 wheelers do not get both lanes of the highway and get to go 75 mph... must be a Canadian Thing! After almost getting side swiped twice , we finally decide to call the police because I wasn't feeling death at that particular moment. I am sad that I didn't get to see the Bad Boys in Blue pull the truck over. I wonder if I said that the truck was a Krispey Kreme truck that would have made a differenece??
We finally get into Eugene and drive to Emilee's houser and she isn't answering her phone, so we stake out her house for about 20 minutes wondering if she will call us, and then we decide to get a room. We get to this Motel called the "Motor Inn," which sounds classy I know and we realize once we got a key that it was actually pretty nice and comfy inside. I went to talk to Hotel Boy about room prices and he cut us a pretty decent deal (no deposit and a cheaper rate). He said that if we needed a room for saturday night too to talk with the manger in the morning because she'd probably cut us an even better deal. Hotel Boy was a cutie... We hop into the Rio, to drive around looking for an ATM, food and just to check out Eugene at nice. Eugene is really chill, but has lots of fucking 1 way streets. Danie accidentally took us down the wrong way on a one way, what an adrenline rush!
Another Adrenline rush is to walk into a place and there is only 2 other girls in there, for the rest are all guys; you feel like your in a fish bowl , or that your a species that they have never seen before. This one guy says something totally random to me (I have no idea what he said), but he was funny , and dorky totally my type, so I went with it. He totally entertained me while I was waiting to order, Danie was getting her tits checked out by semi cute truck man , and semi cute truck man "accidentally" humped Ashley trying to get into the place. As I was getting my Dr. pepper semi cute truck guy was getting water, for him and his circle jerk friends, and I comment, "Wow your the water bitch, that sucks." Smiled and walk to my friends.
After, we get our food and head to the Rio Semi cute truck guy and Circle Jerk friends call us over (for some reason he thought my name is Tracey, I guess its kinda close) He was like what are you up to tonight and I was liek ya know hanging with my girlfriends (trying to be all confident and hot sounding (very UNCourtney LIKE) One of his Circle Jerk friends was like "hey so are you horny? want to get your girls and come back with us? I was like "sir that sounds tempting and all but I have 2 girls that I am sharing a bed with" , smiled, shook my head and walked away, as they were screaming at us because all 3 of us rejected them. It must have been the vest. Seriously though, does the "are you horny because I am line" actually work on girls??? I mean shit, atleast get a few dinners, or stuff out of them before you sleep with them.
The next day we meet up with Emilee K (SHE is WAY RAD!) and do girl stuff, shop, eat, look at boys and vist the best coffee stand I have ever been too. There Gimick is they have either hot boys , or girls that work there. Up here you don't really see the cute boy barista's, but down there you can! We drove to like 5 of them to drink the coffee and look at the boys (I drank soo much coffee this past weekend). We later hit up this pizza parlor to meet Devika and her boyfriend (Danie and ASH knew her in high school). I enjoyed the new company and football was on , so I was a happy girl.
After dinner and prefunking at Emilee's house we all put on the war paint and get going to this country bar. I had fun watching people, playing pool, drinking and dancing. Danie and I tried 2-steping and its hard when your not sober because its hard to be that coordinated and fast, but we rocked it hardcore. Ashley and I also got to sing our Favorite club song ever ... the I want to love you song (we like to scream "I want to Fuck you" during it )Ohh and the best part was a guy who looked like Flava Flav , teaching us white folk how to get down and 2 step at the same time.
We then leave the bar early because Emilee had to be at work early the next morning and Ashley was getting tired. Danie was on her own quest to get chicken and she was a bit upset about some stuff in her life. So she leaves the house to get some chicken and figure shit out. We were in a new place, it was late and I wasn't going to let her walk by herself -friends just don't do that (saftey in numbers people). I have her on the phone as I am walking down a street trying to find her, and I finally see her and we continue walking and I was like "shit the I-hop should be around her somewhere, it didn't seem that far from the house. I was freezing my ass off, wanted to be in a warm bed, but no I was taking one for the team. In actuality it was quite an adventure and it was a good talk. We ask the waitress how far we are from this street that Emilee lived on and she had no idea where it was, and I asked her where in Eugene we were . Apparently we were not in Eugene, but in Springfield (Its like our Everett). 2 hours, 4 pots of coffee later we call a cab and get dropped off 6 miles to the house . I have no idea we even walked that far.
All in all it was a good trip and Everyone should take a raod trip with some friends because its a great bonding tine and adventures galore. As to my quest I learned that I need to just walk up to a guy ,talk to him about something random and see what happends- not let it bother me if hes a douche bag, or shuting the negative voice off when it tells me that he probably wouldn't want to talk to me. If its one thing I have learned in the past month besides on this trip is that just like women guys have no idea what the fuck they want, so I will just laugh, hang out with my friends, and continue to be the Rockstar that I am
