Phew! First of all sorry this has taken so long, but the internet's down and I was running around all weekend because…MY FRIEND FROM ITALY STOPPED BY!!! WOOOHOOO! Oh man was that ever fun? The adventure began friday evening when Trent (from Scotland) and I went to pick Kent up from the train station. These guys were flying in from Stanstead which is pretty far away so they had to take a train to Liverpool St. Station so that I could meet them and bring them back to the ghetto. So we got Kent and took him back long enough to experience an English delicacy known as the doner kebab. Then the three of us went back to pick up Courtney, my precious gem of a roommate, and Dave, I kid I had not known until that day. So we got to the station at 11pm because Courtney said she would be arriving at the airport then and we expected to wait there for the 45 min the train would take to arrive. COme to think of it, I don't know why we went there so early just to wait around. It doesn't make sense. Anyway, we found out wwaaayyy too late that courtney had meant 11pm ITALY time which is midnight my time and then they had to take the train for 45min to get to the station. Well when they finally got there it was 1:30am and all transport had shut down except for the buses. I would like to point out that I hadn't eaten that day and I sugar levels were really low and I was getting REALLY confused by everything. So I had to get these people, none of whom knew anything about London, to where I lived from a place with which I was TOTALLY unfamiliar. I was scared out of my mind. I was terrified that I would somehow get us lost and I would prove to be an inferior tour gide. Well after staring at the bus maps for about 10min (it took me that long to figure out what it was the words were spelling because I was so tired and drained) I finally figured out what we needed to do. I should point out that in London the buses never go far enough in one direction so we actually had to catch one that took us further back than what we wanted in order to catch one that would take us to new cross! We got back at 3am and stayed up until about 6, took a 3hour nap and rose again to do some sight seeing. I think we basically saw everything we possibly could, I mean we hardly sat down both saturday and sunday while they were here. We saw Westminster (only the outside because GOD FORBID it opens past 1 on saturday!) and St. Paul's, Big Ben and Parliment, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, The Globe, London Eye, Buckingham Palace (we got to see the changing of the guard and totally thought that the enormous crowd was there to see something more spectacular), we also got to enjoy some good chinese food, british pasties, and of course we went to a pub (and an expensive one at that, grrrr!). But all in all I feel it was time and money well spent. I was just glad to see all my friends and make a new one with Dave. Ben and I dropped these guys off at the bus station around 11pm so they could catch their 12hour bus to Scotland to stay with Trent and his posse. But I wasnt' too sorry to see them go because come next week I'll be staying with THEM in Italy!! Yey! I'm soooo excited! Okay, well I must go because we're having a K dinner tonight in about an hour and I must go take care of a few things. I'll try and write another entry soon, but don't expect any from next monday to the monday following because I'll be too busy touring Paris and Rome! How odd it is to say that, and yet soo amazing!

Ciao!
