Hey!
I moved my 75 gallon tank over to Carroll Community College this
morning. It was a lot of work, but now its on display in the great hall
of the college. Thats pretty cool.
I also led the setup of a 150 gallon and a 180 gallon tank. THEYRE HUGE!
Even with a number of people under my guidance, it took all day plus.
The tanks look pretty sweet now, and have perhaps 30 different species
of MD freshwater fish.
The MD Streams Symposium starts tommorow. It runs until Saturday, and
until then, Im pretty much tied up with work related tasks. I will
easily work 60 hours this week and perhaps somewhat more. On Sunday,
I'm moving back to Frostburg (with 75 gallon tank). Monday and Tuesday
will be an overnight sampling trip with Matthew Kline and Company. Im
looking forward to a lower stress environment.
Oh yeah. In other news, I developed a massive gouge into my left index
finger while trying to slow he fall of a dolly yesterday. Its a doozie.
Then it took like 2 hours to get home from work yesterday, during which
time I redecided that I WILL NOT get a job which requires a
considerable commute.
On yesterday's commute:
- I was very nearly sandwiched
- I saw a big drug bust in progress on the side of interstate 97 (5 police cars, dogs)
- I saw a horrific accident that was absolutely gruesome
- I saw a car spun off the road into the woods
- I saw a delivery truck that bottomed out going in/out of a driveway and was stuck across the road (this one was humorous)
As far as the gruesome accident goes, I'd rather not talk too much
about it. I will say the following: I was very close to a very recent
accident (6 police cars appeared almost instantly) and I saw things
that were exceedingly graphic. As soon as I realized what I was looking
at I turned very pale at went silent for about 20 minutes. Not a good
situation.
Anyhow, I hope everyone's summer is going well. Overall my summer has
been pretty decent. I think I have enough money save to take a lengthy
road trip next summer. I'm also considering a FL trip over winter
break, either with my female counterpart, my family, or perhaps both.
One last thing: Does anyone know anything about Kennywood? (Kerry and I
are considering going there for our upcoming 6 monthiversary. :) Yippee!
