I noticed several interesting parallels in 4x03 to scenes in Series One and Two...

( So many references... )

Comparison #1:

After Tony (former jackass) has effectively fucked up any chance of T/M. He looks at images of happy!Michelle (when was with him).

He even tries to call her. And sheds a tear for his love lost.

Cook (former jackass) believes that he has fucked up any chance of C/E. So he looks at images of happy!Effy (when was with him).

He even tries to call her at one point. Then later, after he looks at the photos, he cries for his love lost.

Comparison #2: (not from ep 4x03 but something that I just remembered now)

In their happy new "loved up" state, Sid/Michelle kiss in the club while dancing. And Tony sees it. Sid feels bad at wants to go over there, but Michelle tells Sid that what they're doing is "fine" and that Tony will get over it.

In their happy new "loved up" state, Freddie/Effy kiss at the party while dancing. And Cook sees it. Freddie looks like he's about to go over to him, but Effy discourages him from going.

I wasn't even a T/M fan and I really noticed the parallels! And I definitely don't think it was done unintentionally. ;)

edit: it should be "(when she was with him)" up there in the captions.

Is it...terrible that I think Cook does it better?

Tony was my favorite, besides Cassie and Chris, last generation but I have no delusions that Jack is a better actor than Nicholas. He just embodies the character and delivers the lines so fucking believably that there's no doubt in my mind that he's every bit of Cook the second the episodes begins.

No, not terrible. I'd have to agree, I think Jack is definitely the more talented actor...which is why I can't wait to see him fully break into the film business! I know he's done a few here and there already (This is England, Eden Lake, etc) but I really can't wait for him to get "on the map". IMO, he's definitely Oscar-potential...I could see that happening for him in the future.

I think (hope) he is gonna have a Jhonny Deep career, he is a really good actor and cook is pretty hard to play imo

NO, i think it's pretty obvious that jack is so much better than nicholas, cook gets to me in a way that tony never could

Nicholas is amazing but Jack is by far the most talented actor in all of Skins. He might be one of the best out there period.

They're completely different parts, you can't compare it. I have to stick up for Nick cause he amazing in generation 1. Jack is definately the best thing about gen 2 though, I'll give you that.
