Don't Fret, Precious, I'm Here...

I've been using agave nectar a bit more as of late for a sweetener. I'm not opposed to using sugar; I usually buy organic raw sugar cane. I just put agave nectar in my coffee today for the hell of it/I'm low on sugar and, I have to say, it's actually pretty good! It's not as noticeably sweetened as it would be with sugar which is actually quite nice. I might be a convert to agave nectar on the coffee front. Yum!

I still seem to have a bit of a sinus infection which is incredibly annoying as this is going back to January. I really need to get back in the habit of using my neti pot everyday because this is so much bullshit. Today, I'll boil some water with a wee bit of sea salt in it, let it cool, and use it. Must. create. habit.

I really couldn't care less about St. Patrick's Day. The fact that I don't drink and am of absolutely zero Irish descent are probably the key factors for that.

We had a wrestling show last night which was a ton of fun! My friend Roman came out and it was just like old times. So much fun had, it was great. It was a bit weird though that there's a guy there who suddenly was hanging around me a lot, what I would describe as talking at me (because I wasn't particularly engaged in the conversation for the most part), and acting very overly friendly towards me (i.e. trying to hug me, putting an arm around me, etc). Umm...when did this become acceptable between the two of us? I hardly know you. Don't get me wrong, I'm physically affectionate, but with close friends. Andrew was NOT impressed so I told him that perhaps he should say something next time because I was just so confused over the whole thing. On a biological level, I can probably explain some of it away with the fact that I'm ovulating. When I'm ovulating, people are drawn to me whether they know it or not, and not always on a sexual level. People just love to be around those who are ovulating because of all the wonderful hormones involved. ANYWAY. I had a great time last night and that's what matters.

In my ever continuing quest for natural deodorants, I've been reading great reviews in the Winnipeg vegan community about Routine de-odor-cream, a company based in Alberta. Apparently, this stuff really works and all day, not just for a few hours. The price intimidates me though - $30.99 after shipping. Yikes. However, if it REALLY works and lasts 6 months, then that would be worth it to me. I'm still using Lush's T'eo with moderate success. If I'm warm or wearing knitted layers, I have to touch-up after a few hours which is very annoying. I also use Lush's Aromaco on occasion with so-so success. Perhaps if I get anything back on my taxes, I'll splurge and order a jar of Routine. Speaking of taxes, I should probably get a start on that today...
