Kwazy Kwanzaa!...

A Merry (belated) Xmas and Happy Kwanzaa to you!

The holiday is here and gone. I was very spoiled by Andrew. He got me seasons 3 and 4 of True Blood on blu-ray, Coraline on blu-ray, Zombie Tarot, The Walking Dead season 2 on blu-ray, The Walking Dead books 7 and 8 of the hardcover collection, and last but not least an iPod Touch (5th generation)! Holy smokes! I have been playing on my iPod so much and I just love it. My niece has the 4th generation and she messages me all day long. *lol* I got Andrew Jaws on blu-ray, seasons 6 and 7 of The Office on blu-ray, a massage gift certificate, and the complete collection of the TV series Big Love. Yes, he way outdid me again. *lol* From my family, I got Halloween skeleton tea towels, dish cloths, a cardigan, paying off a loan I had to Mom, CAA membership renewal, a cute pair of knitted mittens, Fido on blu-ray, soap and chocolates from Ten Thousand Villages, and a journal. Andrew and I also got an iTunes gift card and a fire extinguisher, which we really needed as the one we had had been used yeeeears ago and never refilled.

Xmas dinner was very nice. I was planning on making Ethiopian food but Mom surprised me by telling me she would make stir fry, got some sushi, and vegan margarine for mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the sushi tasted funny and it's because it had edamamde sauce in it. Gag! and I'm allergic to soy. Oh well, at least I was full from everything else. I had also done some baking, such as vegan Nanaimo bars and not-butter tarts (I replaced the raisins with chopped dates - so good!).

24th, and probably final, book of 2012 completed! Llewellyn's 2012 Magical Almanac.

Likelihood of me recommending this book to anyone (out of 5) It's an annual almanac and it's the end of 2012 so I wouldn't give a recommendation for people to read it now. *lol* This book was recommended to me and, admittedly, I didn't really know anything about it or what to expect, but I ordered it anyway. I think it leans more towards Wiccans than general Pagans, but serious practitioners of either would probably enjoy these almanacs. Since that's not me, though I do enjoy spiritual reading and hippie dippy stuff, I still enjoyed it. For example, it has information for every day of the year such as what phase the moon is in, what time it changes, what colour to use that day, what incense to burn, and special holidays. Then the rest was articles written by various authors. I read bits and pieces of it here and there throughout the year. I'm not sure that I'm likely to order the 2013 book, but maybe I would consider ordering a different Llewellyn almanac like the herbal one.
