So...I'm brunette again! I haven't been brunette in probably about...5 years or so. This time, it's pretty close to my natural hair colour (if I can even remember what it is *lol*). I mixed together 2 colours by
Herbatint, 4N and 4D. When Heather and I went out for sushi a few days ago, I showed her the colours and those were the 2 we went with. So, I decided to get both and mix together a bit more of 4D (which has gold-ish undertones) to 4N. The results...
Natural lighting using Photo Booth.
Bathroom lighting and duck face.
I'm overall happy with it. It ended up going quite darker than I expected, but c'est la vie. I do like that the dye left colour variations as opposed to one block of colour like other box dye. There are some gold highlights in a few spots so that's kinda nice to break it up a bit. Besides my colour change, Andrew is tired of my mullet puns. *lol* I only have one and that's if we're discussing hair I say, "I'm not sure. Let me...mull it over." *teehee*
Andrew and I went for Mongo's Grill on Friday. It was delicious. I'm always surprised by how many places are open on Remembrance Day. It's kinda sad, actually. Besides my paternal grandfather being in WWII (some might say he was on the, erm, wrong side of the war), this Remembrance Day was the 25th anniversary of my Nana passing. I have one vague memory of her and I remember her funeral. I didn't go; I went to my godparents' home for the day.
Yesterday, I went out to
Aviva out in St. James. It's a nice health store with lots of space and tons of selection. I picked up a few things then headed back to the south end of the city...where I realized I realized that I forgot to check out rock deodorant at Aviva. >.< I hate when that happens! Grrr! I hit up Value Village and got the most comfortable pair of dress pants ever and a cute retro-print dress that will look quite nice with a black cardigan or shawl.
Speaking of shawls, I bought a knitting pattern off Etsy recently and went and got 2 types of yarns. Either my great aunt Mom will knit these shawls for me or she'll get the Hutterites by their place to do it. I'm pretty excited either way. The first yarn is a light fuzzy black with muted reds, purples blues, beiges, and greens in it. The second one is a stretchy yarn with kind of toned down rainbow like colours. So the two shawls will be the same pattern but slightly different textures. I'm pretty excited!
