Weather reports drive me crazy. I didn't bike at all last week because it was unbikeably (new word, yes) windy for me all week. I biked yesterday because Weather Network said it wouldn't be too windy, yet Environment Canada said it would be. Guess what? It was hella windy on my way home. So today, I didn't bike because Environment Canada said it was going to be hella windy and Weather Network also said it'd be pretty windy. Guess what? It didn't seem as windy on the way home as yesterday. GRRRRRRRRR! I'm not biking tomorrow partly because of laziness (my crotch and quads still hurt a bit from yesterday's bike ride) and partly because both sites say it's going to be windy. Maybe I'll be able to bike on Thursday and Friday. Maybe.
My new glasses came in today. Talk about super fast! I don't know that I love them. They're not thick frames like I've been getting the last few years and they're smaller so it'll take some getting used to. Otherwise, they're cute and simple and I can't argue with the price.
I realize this is old, and I also realize I may look like a horrible person, but
this made me laugh so, so hard today when I was feeling stressed. See, my aunt was to have a biopsy done today. Unfortunately, they ran into complications when they were about to go into surgery so it was cancelled. :( They're running tests on her heart and stress levels and hopefully, if everything looks good, they'll try again tomorrow. Let's all hope for that. I've been reading positive quotes today to not get bummed out. Here are a couple of favourites:
"A strong positive attitude will create more miracles than any wonder drug."
"Having a positive mental attitude is asking how something can be done rather than saying it can't be done."
"Your attitude can take you forward or your attitude can take you down. The choice is always yours."
"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination."
