Lick Your Heart...

Has anyone managed to successfully negotiate a reduction in interest rate(s) with their credit card company(ies)? I tried to do this today with my MC and they insisted that they couldn't possibly go lower than the 19% it's at right now which, of course, we all know is utter bullshit. I didn't push the matter too hard, but definitely would if I knew the right things to ask/say. I'm wondering if anyone has tips on how to get them to change their stance.

I got my hair done yesterday and it's super cute. Still platinum blonde but we added a couple of dark brunette and hot pink chunks at the front. :) It's now like an asymmetrical pixie cut in that the left side is cropped quite close and that close cut carries to the lower half of the back of my head. The right side then has a bit more length and the top is long enough to spike up. It's pretty cute. Left side and right side. I realize they're not the best pics since I took them with the computer, but I was lazy. ;)

I planned to continue with the spring cleaning I was doing last weekend (to be honest, I did most of it last weekend so that's good). I felt like my whole day went *poof* yesterday before I knew it, but at least I cleaned up a lot of the dog poo in their potty pen. Then today, with it being so gloomy and rainy/snowy, I really don't feel like doing anything except lying in bed reading and/or listening to podcasts. I throw some laundry in the washer and call it a day, haha.

I feel like I should get back into my Buddhist studies to help me with my new year's resolution of being a better person. I find Buddhist teachings to be inspirational and thought provoking. I downloaded a few different Buddhist teaching podcasts so I think that's a good start.

I'm really, really, really hoping the weather starts warming up more (particularly in the mornings) so I can take out Starscream (and hopefully he works fine, hahaha). On Friday night, my car stalled 3 times on the way to a social on McPhillips. :( The first stall was at Main and Inkster - NOT COOL! We've come up with another possibility as to why these stalls keep happening randomly, aside from weather wetness (since it wasn't bad on Friday): The amount of driving plus the amount of braking plus possible warmth or the car just heating up. On Friday, that was quite a further distance than I normally engage in and add to the fact I hit a lot of red lights on Jubilee and Main, and the stalls always happen when I brake at lights. After the third stall, we parked in a lot and waited about 10 minutes and the rest of the ride went just fine. Same with the ride home: Still a far drive, but because it was after midnight and the weather had cooled down more and there were significantly less red lights, maybe that's why there wasn't anymore stalling. Still, it seems too sporadic to try to take it to the mechanic.
