Oh, Baby, I've Got A Dependency...

Alright! So, this is the end of the first week of gym going. I went on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday was a recuperation day as my legs were killing me after Body Attack on Tuesday, hahaha. Thursday, I just went in and used the elliptical so that was nice, but it resulted in my legs AND arms hurting a bit. :P Don't let us thin people fool you; just because we're not fat doesn't mean we're in shape! Yesterday evening, I did the Body Flow class which is like a fusion of Tai Chi, pilates, and yoga. It was very lovely and a great way to end the week. I kind of want to go to the gym today, but maybe I'll go much later. I should spend more time recuperating. I'm just glad I'm still interested in going and I'm looking forward to trying new classes.

In anticipation that I'll want to keep going to the gym, I sucked it up and went to Lululemon today after the encouragement of some people *glares at Manders ;)* and was lucky enough to find Groove pants (which had been recommended to me) and a tank both on sale. Woo, woo! I will say this: The customer service at Lulu is fantastic. Everyone there was super nice and incredibly helpful and, dare I say, delighted that I was a newb. They were informative about the care of the products and just all around entirely pleasant. If the higher prices mean great customer service and great products, then I'd say it's worth it.

After Lulu, I headed to David's Tea (which is also in Polo Park). My goodness. So. Many. Wonderful. Teas! I felt bad because I'm having a Steeped Tea book party right now, but I had to get a few of David's Teas to try out and I'm beyond stoked. I'm really excited to try the chai rooibos one as a latte (which reminds me that I forgot to get soy milk at the store...damn). I spent more money there than I anticipated so I was pretty upset at myself when I came home to check my banking and found I was poorer than I thought. :( Damn you, Xmas shopping! Good thing I restrained myself and didn't go to Lush.

Get this: I was at Suzy Shier last night looking to get a dressy winter coat (I got one that's a bit Nazi-chic and $20 off it - sweet!) and one of the girls working there confronted this really old (Asian?) woman along with 2 mall cops. She told her to empty her pockets as they saw her slip jewellery into it. The woman played dumb and said there was nothing in her pockets. Then she opened her pocket slightly and they said, "We can't go in your pocket; you have to turn it inside out." So she did and revealed a pocket full of jewellery and a T-shirt in the other pocket! *lol* I told one of the other employees there that granny was just trying to do some Xmas shopping and now Xmas will have to be cancelled. I gave the girl a *high5* for the takedown, haha.

I'm very proud of Andrew as he donated his old SUV to Habitat for Humanity. :) They've just got in on that this year (previously it was just Kidney Foundation taking old vehicles). Habitat for Humanity has the vehicles crushed and the metal sold. This is done with Urbanmine (that link will take you to the program with Habitat for Humanity). If you have an old vehicle then consider donating it to this cause. You get a tax receipt so that's nice. They may even take old appliances like Kidney Foundation does but you should call to double check on that.

OH! Lunapads was having this pseudo contest on Facebook/Twitter. You just had to update your status with a wish to the Period Fairy asking for anything from the Lunapads site that was under $50. My wish was mini pads and liners for light days. Lucky for me, I got a message from them saying I won! *squee!* I can't wait 'til they arrive because I have been eyeballing them for quite sometime (I only have 1). :D
