Some Sunny Day...

I have been thoroughly enjoying my much needed Holly-days. :) Sadly, they always come to an end all too soon. Andrew is also on holidays though he's on for 2 weeks as opposed to my measly 1.

We have been spending our time catching up on much needed rest, relaxation, and television watching. I had another acupuncture appointment yesterday and I think that'll be my last one for awhile. She wants me to see her again next week, but I'm going to cancel. My insurance will run out very soon at this rate and I'm not noticing anymore results other than the first time I went. So that's that.

On Tuesday, my Mom had surgery to remove her gallbladder. Thankfully, all went well so now she's recovering which, of course, is never terribly comfortable but I know she's a strong woman and can handle it. That evening, I had a photographer come over to do a twisted photo shoot. I worked with him a few months ago on the Devil vs. Angel shoot and I knew he'd be great for this one. I had been working on this concept since August. The shoot was this: It's my birthday party. Cake (that wasn't vegan so Andrew had it, hahaha), helium filled balloons, streamers, etc. Very exciting time, yes? However, it becomes obvious that no one has come to my party. Very sad. So, I proceed to hang myself with the helium balloons. *pause to let you absorb that* Go on and laugh, I know you want to. :) The whole thing is bright and colourful, but then this dark factor. I can't wait to see the rough drafts.

Today, Andrew and I had a special day. :) We went for delicious lunch at Mongo's then we went to the Bodies Exhibit. Andrew had been to the (bigger) exhibit in Vegas. It was pretty cool! Some of it was really weird, like the fact they cut around the eyebrows to leave them in tact and the bodies still had their eyelashes, but overall it was really fascinating. I would say it's not for the squeamish, but stuff like that doesn't bother me and I'm really desensitized to it. In fact, at one point Andrew said to me it looked fake (or something like that). I said to him, "Nope, that's all real. See that white strip there? That's what skinned deer looked like." Then there was a bit of a pause and I said to him, "I kind of want to chew on the flesh." *lol* It seemed to remind me of deer jerky which is something that I miss from my "pregan" days. As a souvenir, Andrew got a shot glass and a stress ball in the shape of a brain. I got a pen in the shape of finger bones and a plushie of Superbug! I want to go back and get HIV. ;) After Bodies, we headed to Lush and I picked up a couple of new items that I'm excited to try. I fucking love Lush, though it's a pricy delicacy.

Then, sadly, pain-in-the-ass struck. For the last couple of weeks, Thundercracker (my car) has been bucking off and on...apparently "on" more when I was the only one in the car. On the way home today, however, the bucking started...then the whole vehicle was "shuddering"...and then it stalled. *sigh* I have no fucking luck with vehicles I get. My Dad is coming to the city tomorrow to take a look at it. Hopefully it's nothing serious and something he can fix. Otherwise, it's off to the mechanic on Monday. I'm hoping the guy who sold me the car didn't intentionally fuck me over by selling me a vehicle he knew had problems.

Oh! I have a new tea to try. It's called Hazelnut Banana and it's a black tea. Now, I'm not a fan of black tea so this should be interesting. Perhaps the dried banana pieces will curb the taste I dislike. We shall see!

Oh, oh! I got some more Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows. I got 9 shades of pink and have tried almost all of them, hahaha! They're all very nice thus far and I really enjoy the shade called "Dear Mom (Esme)".

I'm about ready for a nap then movie/TV watching. Other than the issues with Thundercracker, I have been so obviously happy and relaxed. :) I'm *gasp* nice to people and seemingly all around more pleasant to be around.
