As a very premature birthday present, Koul sent me a food dehydrator.  I'm having my first go on it with a combination of some things that were going to go bad if I didn't use them around the house, and produce that I bought at the farmers market this morning (I took Amos for the first time, he was SO overstimulated!!!).  I have potatoes, Peaches from Palisades CO (a combination of white and yellow peaches), and Pears, also from Palisades.  I've coated the pears in agave nectar, cinnamon and ginger, so we'll see how they come out!  Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Inspired by tulipchica , I've been having fruit smoothies every morning.  Lately, I've been putting pear, white grapes, half a head of bib lettuce, almond milk, fresh ginger, and watermelon in mine.  It's quite tasty.  I haven't gotten brave enough to try spinach or another dark leafy green in mine... Bib lettuce is still good for you (compared to iceberg), but it has such a mild flavor, I can barely taste it in the smoothy.

Also made these really good sandwich alternatives:  It's a sweet potato miso wrap in collard greens.  This mixture has sweet potatoes, silken tofu, sauteed shallot, ginger, garlic, cayenne pepper, peanut butter, and edamame all mixed together, and then you wrap the mush up in collard greens instead of tortillas.  It's quite good.

I recently got a new exercise/body ball along with a resistance band & 2 DVD's with 20 minute work outs on it.  I've been doing one of those each day, targeted at certain areas of the body.  the 20 minutes just fly's by, the work outs aren't too hard, but boy do I feel them the next day!  It's actually kinda fun.
