Dear Yuletide Author,
Firstly, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to write something for me! I know this is a busy time of year for a lot of people.
As far as general ideas go, you can get an idea of the sort of things I like by popping over to
skidmo_fic, where I keep everything I've written, and for the most part, I write what I like to read. I like slash, but I'm not at all opposed to gen or het. AUs are love. Crossovers are love (you can get an idea of what other fandoms I like over at the fic journal). I'm not a huge fan of crack or any sort of whumping or character bashing. I'm cool with angst or romance, humor, UST. I like me some melancholy, but I also enjoy a good, old-fashioned happy ending. Banter is always appreciated. No character death, please, not outside of canon. I have no preference as to ratings, though.
If you picked History Boys, Scripps/Posner is my OTP forever, but anything of them at Oxford or later in their lives would be fantastic. And though I love Posner dearly, I can handle him being unhappy. Seeing Irwin's involvement or lack of it in their lives post-school would also be really fun. I'm intrigued by the idea of Irwin/Posner. I love love love snarky back and forth and clever use of poetry. Flirting through poetry is brilliant.
If you're wanting to write Alice, Hatter is love. Anything to do with him. I love his silliness, his earnestness, his sweetness, and the way he sometimes wants to be selfish and just can't. I think seeing him and Jack together would be awesome. Seeing him trying to figure out Alice's world would also be wonderful.
In Ten Inch Hero, I'd just love to see more of Priestly. Where does his t-shirt collection come from? What have his past relationships been like? I would love to see an AU where he doesn't give up his punk rock side. How did he end up working at the shop? Priestly/Jen friendship would be love. Tish is not my favorite character, so I'd rather not have anything that focuses on her or her relationship with Priestly.
Most of all, though, I'm just pleased you're writing something, and I can't wait to see it. Thank you so much!
