4th Entry
I had another good day. The base commander came to show is appreciation to all the engine mechanics, both western and RSAF. We were presented with egg sandwiches, cake, fruit juice and water. We were hinting that half a day off would be even better. They don’t seem to hear hints.
Ok, now you know how things are in the states when it comes to driving. You have three different types of four lane roads: One with a median where you can’t cross (Grass patch or something), one with a turning lane, and one with a double line. Well, this is how they cross a double line. Instead of stopping or slowing down in their lane, and then making a left hand turn, they cross the double line and keep coming in your direction, in your lane. It happened today. This moron crossed the double line and was coming right at us. Scared the crap out of me. Made a note to myself to take a change of clothes with me to work in case that should happen again. The car got real stinky.
Cashed my first check today. Still waiting for the second half to hit my Idaho account. Hope it works out.
I was given the keys to the photo club today. I was shocked to see all the equipment in there. They even have a machine for color processing. I am going to be in heaven. It needs some severe cleaning, but I got the yard boy for that….hehe. As a matter of fact, I think I will go start cleaning. It is about thirty feet from my trailer. Take care all.
