just because I'm losing doesn't mean I'm lost
I got a new laptop! Mine was getting to be old and really slow, so I finally caved and bought a new one. It's a Dell XPS. It's really pretty and very fast. The only thing is that the screen resolution is different than my old computer and it's hard to get used to.
Tomorrow after work we're having this office minigolf/arcade/dinner July 4 party. Apparently they're paying for everything (and there's going to be drinks!) so it should be fun. I hope everyone goes. I'm still trying to get a baseball game to go to with Todd (see previous post). My cousin said he could get me tickets for any home game, but I emailed him twice and called him and I haven't heard back! I'm really annoyed that he hasn't responded. My parents said he's really scatterbrained and does that a lot. I know he meant what he said, but if I can't get in touch with him, I can't get tickets! I told Todd that I was still working on it and he was really nice, saying he'd want to go to a game anyways. Then he asked me if I was going to the mini golf thing tomorrow! (Ok, I might have a little crush on him. I wonder if he was asking just to be nice or to make sure I got the email, or if he wants to hang out with me...) I really hope I get a chance to hang out with him more.
This weekend is July 4 and I have Friday off so I'm going home. I'm taking Apolon with me. We're going to see the fireworks at the beach and maybe see a movie. It should be fun and it will be a nice break from Los Angeles. Hopefully my parents don't think we're dating. That would be really awkward!
