Good things have been happening. I hung out with Jay on Tuesday. We went to the mall and he was kind of acting like a jerk. He even told me that he told the guy at work (Joel) to ask me out to lunch. I was really mad that he hadn't talked to me about it before Joel asked me. But he was also being really distant and told me that he wasn't interested in me anymore. I knew he was just mad that I'd "rejected" him and I didn't like him acting like a jerk. After he left, I talked to him a little on AIM. I told him that I'd be willing to give him a chance if we just got to know each other better. I said I want to be able to flirt with him and joke around without it being uncomfortable. Who knows what will actually happen, but I want to just have fun and get to know him better.
Today I had lunch with my boss, Jon, and his friend Todd who also works in the office. Todd is cute and really nice. He's like mid-late 20s and kind of dorky, but in a good way. I'd talked to him a few times before in the office. I mentioned that I wanted to see a Dodgers game, and he kind of perked up. I told him that my cousin is a lawyer for the Dodgers so he can give me free tickets, but I didn't want to drive in LA so I hadn't gone to a game yet. He said he wanted to go to a game too. I offered that if he wanted to drive, then I would get us tickets to a game. He agreed! So I emailed him the schedule, and we decided to try to go to a game in July. Hopefully my cousin won't have already given away tickets for that game. I'm looking forward to getting to know Todd a little better. He seems really cool. Of course by the time we go to the game, I'll only have about a month left here.
Another good thing is that I finally started programming on my project. Before I was just writing about the design and other technical things, and then I had to pitch the design to a couple people in the office. But now I'm programming and it's a lot of fun. It's challenging too.
I went to the library yesterday and rented a pilates DVD. I did it yesterday and today. Some parts were really hard, but I felt really good. I could do most of the level 3 stuff. It seems like really good exercise. Hopefully I can find more DVDs so I don't have to keep doing the same one! I want to keep doing it and be in really good shape by the time summer is over.
Now it's time to eat dinner. Oh and the title of this post is from a Jimmy Eat World song! The new CD is so good, I haven't gotten sick of it since I got it in October.
