The End of a World

November was the longest month of my life. The Jewelers Shop closed just before thanks giving. A little anticlimactic, but our lease was up and it was a good time to go. It simply wasn't the booming business that we thought it was going to be.
I'm happy its over though. Since closing I've been constantly busy with this holiday season. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up if I still had a shop to deal with on top of my online sales. My new ocarina pendant has been very popular. I have even more new designs just waiting on my computer to be printed. I've been saying it for a long time now: I need a 3d printer!

The wait for one has been long, but its a good thing I've waited. Envisiontec's Micro was having a slew of problems, and people are starting to complain about Asiga not delivering and delaying their machine and castable resin. I'm in no rush for a printer at this point since the big season is now nearly over, so I intend to wait for a couple more months to see how things play out. The B9Creator is a new machine that looks promising. While not yet at the same print quality as Asiga or Envisiontec, its VERY close for a machine that only costs 3k. Best of all the project is open source and already has a nice community who are making some impressive improvements.
During my two month wait, I intend to head north to CT. I'd like to drive this time, and I'd like to do so on my own. The world around me has become stagnant. I want to get away from Florida. I'll miss family and friends, but I need to do this. I'm reinventing myself.
