The mess hall itself is pretty empty for the most part, although there is one guy sitting at a table near the entrance on his laptop, sipping at a cup of cheap coffee . . .]

Is it? [checks his computer clock] ...Oh. I didn't realize it was that late.

You lose track of the time?

Not all the time. Just when I'm working. It's easier to focus if I dedicate myself to one task.

. . . I know how that goes. You should probably get some sleep, though.

It's almost morning already. I don't see the point in going to bed now.

Besides being well rested so you can work on even more stuff later?

I'm not even tired right now. I'll go to bed when I am.

I'll hold you to that.

By the time I get tired I'll be falling asleep at the table. It would be stupid of me to try and stay awake past the point that I can't even function.

But you know, you're up pretty late too. You can't be telling me to go to bed when you're still up.

As a matter of fact, I have insomnia. Which isn't so great, but if I could be sleeping, I would be. Which means I can be telling you to go to bed.
