My brother and I were discussing just the other day how often my step-father runs into situations that are simply "impossible" when programming.

I took one of my finals earlier. One of the women in the class was wearing a shirt that said VDay on the front.

At first I thought it said, uh... something very different.

I need to get out more.

Only tangentially related to my previous post, but I suddenly want to get episodes of Bill Nye the Science Guy and/or The Eyes of Nye, and pick out clips in order to make a fake movie trailer for some summer blockbuster about Bill Nye taking over the planet or something ( Read more... )

Purdue just canceled classes because of snow.

This is my first snow day in years. I didn't even know colleges were allowed to do that.

[Edit] They closed the libraries! The bastards! Couldn't they have just shut down the dining halls instead?

I'm taking a class entitled Comparative Mythology, wherein we study the various myths of Mesopotamian, Meso-American, Celtic and Chinese cultures.
