His hands dropped and he was overwhelmed by how much it *hurt* getting hit by a Vulcan. He couldn’t keep his guard up to keep himself on the defensive and then Spock lunged and grabbed his neck. A vice-like grip was around his neck as he gasped for breath. When Spock was called off, he really wanted to make sure he was never on a Vulcan’s bad side again.
2. They’re on a mission when things go wrong, Jim and a small line of crewman from the away team are hanging off the edge of a small cliff. Not so large that it would mean sudden death halfway down, but high enough that has even Jim worried. The away team is tired and they’re in a precarious situation, hanging by their fingertips. Then Jim here’s the most glorious sound in the world, and it’s saying his name.
“Captain?”
“Spock!” Jim crows, smile breaking out on his face, looking up into the severe Vulcan face.
“How?” Spock breaks off, but then shakes his head, not wanting to know just yet.
“C’mon, we just took a break Mr. Spock, we’re just hanging around.”
There’s the eyebrow action and Spock begins reaching over the ledge with long arms and grabs the first crewman and hauls him over with no compunction. The second is a bit more of a challenge and Spock lays down on the edge and reaches out and pulls the young ensign out by the scruff of his neck, twisting near the top. After the third crewman is out it is the Captain’s turn. Jim gets the same treatment, pulled up by the back of his collar and he’s lifted bodily into the air. It feels like he’s a small child and he just got picked up. It’s strangely feels like flying. Spock isn’t even breathing hard from the exhaustion. Kirk is surprised and thankful for the Vulcan commander.
3. Trade negotiations had gone south again, and this time it totally wasn’t Jim’s fault. The planet had been on the verge of civil war for quite some time, Jim’s torso just happened to be a convenient target. Spock is carrying Jim bridal style, and Jim would complain more if he had the breath to do it. It amazes him how fast Spock is able to move while carrying his weight. Spock manages to shift him to the side and take a great leap over some rubble. Even though the world around him is fading into black he’s still able to look up into Spock’s face and was surprised at how strong this Vulcan was, even under pressure.
4. It’s a surprise when they first start making out and Spock gets a little aggressive and Jim’s back is to the wall. His feet are no longer touching the ground since Spock has lifted him and pinned him against the wall by his hips. He’s learned about Vulcan strength in his classes, but had never really experienced it so intimately. So, he wraps his legs around Spock’s waist, surprised at the power in the Vulcan’s tall frame. But goddamn if it doesn’t feel good.
5. They’re just getting to the good part and Jim pushes Spock down on his bed and crawls atop him. They’re getting into it and Spock hooks a leg around his and rolls Jim underneath him. And damn that Vulcan strength he can’t push Spock off. Spock seems to know it and takes the lead. Yeah, he was surprised about it, but he’s not complaining.
+1. The rock is slipping down and Spock quickly moves under it so they will not be blocked from their escape route. Jim looks at the tall Vulcan who looks remarkably like Atlas with the world on his shoulders and moves quickly to help Spock. It’s a giant boulder and fuck, is it heavy. He can see Spock’s arms shaking with the strain.
“Get them out of here!” he shouts to the away team with the rest of the prisoners and they file out quickly between them.
Their eyes lock. Spock begins, “Captain, you must go. I cannot hold it much longer.”
“I’m not leaving you here, Spock!” and Jim’s arms are shaking too. “We go together or not at all. On three!”
Spock nods. “One…Two… Three!” and they both push up and leap out. Spock executes a perfect drop and roll and Jim does a heaping sprawl. But they did it. They’re out.
“How did you know you’d be able to hold it?” Jim can’t help but ask.
“I did not know,” is Spock’s reply. “ I knew that it would be most stable in a higher position allowing the weight to press on the sides of the arch. I had to keep the boulder in the keystone position before it fell.”
“You crazy sonafabitch,” Jim laughs. “At least it worked.”
“I am also surprised, Captain.”
“Jim, Spock. It’s Jim.”
Spock’s eyes light with mischief. “Of course, Captain.”
Title: How 'Bout That T'Pau
Rating: PG
Warnings: little to none
Summary: Grandma loves her little Sprocket
A/N: Grandma love! :D
Prompt:
community.livejournal.com/st_xi_kink_meme/7137.html 1. Amanda was tired, but happy with the birthing. Her baby boy nestled safely in her arms. T’Pau strode in after Sarek had left to attend some details. Though respectful of the older woman, she was too happy being a mother to be intimidated by her presence. T’Pau’s severe countenance looked down at the small child who looked up at her in wonder.
“Would you like to hold him?”
T’Pau put down her staff and took the baby into her arms; the newborn was quiet at the transfer. The mind in her arms was warm, bright, and strong, buzzing against her shields as only a young child could in curiosity. A fine heir to the line of Surak.
2. Young Spock stood next to his seated grandmother on the raised dais. He was eleven and he sported a swollen lip from a fight defending his family’s honor. It wasn’t much but T’Pau placed her hand upon Spock’s head on the soft black hair. Eyes widening a fraction were Spock’s only reaction. A few seconds later she removed her hand, but the feeling of grandmotherly pride remained. And it was enough.
3. Spock enrolled into Starfleet as well as the VSA and when he rejected the VSA with an almost snarled “live long and prosper” T’Pau was surprised and a bit proud. Her grandson was finding his own way, continuing the tradition of making their own way in the universe. The few diplomatic relations with Starfleet that followed she remarked that it was “fortuitous there would be a Vulcan officer amongst their ranks. It would make things emminently more logical.”
4. T’Pau made monthly calls to Spock under “diplomatic pretenses” where she learned Spock commented how illogical he found the accelerated courses and wished to make improvements, but was waylaid by the admiralty. When they heard that Spock had the ear of T’Pau they asked him to reformat the accelerated courses and design new, more efficient tracks of study.
5. T’Pau found Spock coming to her. He didn’t want to return with the Vulcans to establish a new colony and was trying to find a way to tell her. Needless to say, T’Pau was a sharp woman; instead she gave him a mission. His mission was to remain in Starfleet as long as he deemed necessary to be a representative of Vulcan and the House of Surak, which he must display with pride. With his grandmother’s blessing he boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise with a light heart.

“You sure about this, Spock?” Jim paced as Spock remained unmoving on the small chaise.
“I mean, this is T’Pau!”
Spock raised an eyebrow, “Yes?”
“The T’Pau who can crush the admiralty under her foot, the one who said ‘fuck off!’ to the High Council!”
“Yes?” Spock’s eyebrow hadn’t gone down and he just looked amused. “I am, as you would say ‘her favorite’ I would not worry.”
“Oh, God,” the color in Jim’s face drained. “That’s worse! Another thing to hate me for. Her favorite grandson, shit!”
“Jim, be at peace.”
T’Pau walked into the audience chamber and spared no nonsense with greeting her grandson. She began, “Spock.”
“T’Pau,” Spock inclined his head. “May I present Captain James Kirk.”
“Captain Kirk.”
“Yes, ma’am?”
“Can you do your duties as the Consort of the House of Surak?”
“Uh, yes?”
“Spock.”
“I wish to join him to our family.”
She walked closer to James Kirk and appraised him. She leaned back as if finding what she was looking for. “If he is what you say, Spock. I shall approve.”
“Really?” Jim squeaked. She looked back at him with what he realized Spock must have learned from her, with that minute exasperation. “Why?”
There was a speech about honor, tradition, and Surak; and Jim, who by now was an excellent translator of Vulcan bullshit took it to mean that their family had always done what was different and Spock wouldn’t do it for anyone less than extraordinary. T’Pau left on that note.
“Wow, you really are her favorite.”
