Land of the Midnight Sun
They aren't kidding. Alaska really is the land of the midnight sun. I just got back from my AMAZING trip to ALASKA!!!!
Yes ladies and gentlemen, that picture was taken at Midnight in Fairbanks Alaska.
Alaska was a fuckin AWESOME experience!
~ Chena Hot Springs ~
A naturally heated outdoor pool. I know most of you have heard of hot springs. These are AMAZING!! It was so cool. Sitting in the spring, it's all naturally heated so it has not temperature control. It'll be tolerable then go to cooking you in less than a minute! It was a great time. We stayed there for 3 hours!
~ University of Alaska, Fairbanks ~
What an awesome campus. They had an amazing museum there that taught you all about Alaska. Whatever you ever wanted to know about Alaska, they had it. Beautiful campus on a hill in town!
~ Denali National Park ~
I know that most of you won't believe this but, yes, me, I went White Water Rafting up the Nenana River going through Denali National Park. It was fucking GREAT!!!! We went down rapids and calm river! Then, the next day we went on a 3 mile hike into the park! It was GREAT!
Oh yeah, we saw 11 RAINBOWS ON THE WAY BACK FROM DENALI!!!!
~ North Pole, Alaska ~
An extremely Gimmick-ey place, but VERY cool. It was just a gift shop but sported street names like Snowman Lane, St. Nicholas Street, and Santa Claus Lane (of course!). All the street lights were decorated like candy canes! SO cool!
~ The Arctic Circle ~
This was amazing!!! We travelled ALL the way to the ARCTIC CIRCLE!! It was SO FUCKING GREAT!! On the way we saw the Alaska Pipeline, Arctic Tundra, Moose, Porcupines, an amazing sunset (I guess you could call it that, even though the sun never REALLY went down), the Yukon River! IT was AWESOME!!
So awesome!!
What a great trip!! I know there's some things I'm missing, I'll update more later!!
