where is your boy tonight?
i love skateboarding but i hate how disorganized some people/compaines can be. Yesterday I went to Oakville for the Underattack Demo. So I drive to Oakville for the first time ever, but traffic was so bad that I decided to get off the highway and drive down various roads to get there. thx ilissa for being such a good navigator. Mapquest said it'd take half hour to get there, but it didn't. It wasn't until like 2 hours later that I actually got to the demo. I finally got to Hustler and go inside to find out where the demo is, only to see the two Circa Sales reps in there, and then they give us some half ass directions so we leave and don't find the place of course. So we called the shop and then they give us some real directons, even tho we still got lost a lil bit on the way. Finally we make it to Shell Park, i dunno why they just didn't post Shell Park on the site instead of Hustler. It was after the start time but it still hadn't started. Then it starts, and we see the C1rca reps there, and there's only like 5 guys from the whole team of 25 there. There was only Ted Degros, Nate Lacoste (who was the star of the demo), Jason Crolly, Arron Johnson, Ryan Oughton and that was like it. I was like where's Grant Patterson, Dave Lapchuck, Dan Pageau, Sean Hayes and the rest of the team. No one said where they were. I'd think that Grant and Dave would wanna do the local demos. It was kinda cool but the majority of the team wasn't there. I'm sure the C1rca reps liked the fact that they showed up but only 1 of 3 of their ams came to the demo. That night I bascially drove around all of Oakville. It's a nice place. Then I drove home until I found at Subway. I got the underworld underrated dvd at the demo, it's coool, it's got old footage from the first w49 demo and has old footage of Grant and Dave tearing up City Hall in Brampton.
The Underattack site said that Hustler was hosting the Mississauga demo too but they said they weren't even supposed to host any demos, their name just got added to the flyer. I called Hustler and they said it was at the Mississauga park today. So me and Sarah went to the park, and John from C1rca said that the guys are stuck downtown in carabana and probally don't know how to get to the mississauga park so he wasn't sure if the demo was even gonna be on today or not. We stuck around for like an hour and watched John skate and some lil kid with nice C1rca shoes skate and then went home.
So half the boys didn't show yesterday and none of them showed today. I don't know why, unless they're partying it up at Carabana or Grant's chilling at Raxx again. Oh well maybe once the Underattack site gets updated then I'll get some answers. Grant better be at the C1rca demo on Thursday or else...
I think the plan for tonight is Raxx, then Nashville where we will invite some dreamboats to Joe tomorrow, if they're at Nashville tonight. Hopefully these plans will work out much better then the demo plans.
