(no subject)
So, I've been back from college since Sunday, but I got another wisdom tooth out on Monday, so I was realy out of it for awhile. The pain isn't too bad anymore, but I had an allergic reaction to the painkillers they gave me this time. Frankly, I'm a little irritated, because the stuff they gave me the first time was so much better. I can't figure out why they wanted me to have a different prescription this time. But it wasn't an extreme allergic reaction. I just got dizzy and extremely itchy.
But, hey, I have my Tigger kitty back!
So now i'm just waiting for my grades to all come through. Basically, unless by some miracle I manage to earn an A in Asian Humanities, I am only going to have a 3.87 GPA for the year. If I were in another discipline, that'd be high enough for me to get a full scholarship. However, since I'm still technically a Humanities major, I have to have a 3.9 in order to get a full scholarship. If I get an A in Asian Humanities, I'll have a 3.91. But, that's ok. I'll try to ignore it when I, with my 3.87 am 1600 poorer than other students who only have 3.86's and just like me are only on their GE requirements. Sigh... Why, or why, did I not just pretend to be an Engineering major? I could have always switched it back later on...
The good news is, Tigger is as soft and cuddly as ever! The bad news? He's also just as unwilling to be cuddled.
Meanwhile, my mother has suggested I throw out my copy of Lolita. I hate to do such a thing to a book with such nice binding, but I think this'd be a worthy cause. I might even burn it. Anyone up for a bonfire? In general I'm against banning books, but this book is a literary form of child pornography. As such, I think it should be illegal.
