Dear my ex-best-friend,
I'm sorry to leave you all alone,
I know the feeling well.
You tried your hardest to stay close,
And i commend your efforts.
You kept me warm on cold nights;
Made me better when i was sick;

I'm grateful for our times together,
But there needs to be an end.
I have new friends now,
Not a crutch from independance.
My body's ravaged, scarred and diseased,
Because we had our bad times too.
