i slept entirely too much last night
and too much throughout the day
But now i'm even more tired than when i first closed my eyes

i have a funny feeling in my head
Yet i refrain from laughing,
as the pain's too much for mere endorphins to heal

which i suppose is quite a monstrous feat for you
a disastrous Defeat for me

i want to reoopen pandora's box
just to search for the hope
reentry of all thats wrong in the world doesnt bother me much

If theres no present like the present,
could you please give me the receipt
i want to go to the retail store of promises and make an exchange
ill scour the aisles for something that fits me better
something uniform and processed and pleasant
that has that new car smell
straight off the assembly line
