Birthday Weekend

WOW...I turned 52 years young on Friday!! I had a GREAT time celebrating this weekend, in fact it was better than my 50th Birthday.

Friday I went out for dinner with 3 choir Friends. We went to Houlahann's over in Plymouth Meeting. We had so much fun together. We are always laughing and having so much fun that we become the loudest table without really trying. This time May was our waitress and what a HOOT! She just joined in with all of our fun and it was just the best time.

Saturday I went with one of my best Friends, Jed, to NYC. I met him at his house and then drove into the city together. We got tickets at TKTS for Avenue Q, which was my first pick. We got center isle seats in the 14th row. Lunch first and then a quick visit to the Virgin Mega Store before we headed off for the theater. Avenue Q was FANTASTIC!!  After the show we headed downtown to the Village for dessert...an ice cream shop that has THE BEST ice cream. We then walked down to Chelsea Piers and ate our ice cream and talked and people watched...some really nice eye candy to take in also. Off to dinner at a Spanish place that when you walked in reminds you of old world Spain. Nothing fancy at all, but oh the food was fabulous. And there was so much of it I could not possibly eat it all. Headed home after dinner quite content.

I realized the next day that I felt differently. I dawned on me that I had just enjoyed myself on Saturday. I no longer felt so beat up and tortured inside of myself. The day was GRAND and I could not have picked it or planned it any better. And I realized today that I don't feel "back to normal" because I don't won't to feel that way again either. I just feel a contentedness and it is deep within. I can move on with today and tomorrow in a much better place because of where that contentedness comes from.

Sunday I spent with my mother. Brunch and stopped at a nursery that does this spectacular hill of flowers. This time of year it is Mums and about half of them were blooming. When we got home we watched the Philadelphia Phillies (baseball) play for the division title. And because the Phillies won and the New York Mets lost their game we won the East Division Title. WOW!

You would think that since the weekend was over that so would my celebration. But on Thursday my friend EB and I are going out to eat because we share the same birthday. EB is going to ask a mutual friend to come along as they had to recently put down their dog, which a just like a child. And then on the 14th of this month my family is going out for dinner to celebrate my birthday...late because of scheduling conflicts which also invloves the adoption by my niece and her husband of a baby girl from Guatamala.

latestarter it was so nice to hear from you.

Take care LJ!
