A sidebar to the whole "Keaton replaced by Bell as Avengers: EMH's Spider-Man" mess

(For those of you who haven't been following, here's a link to a brief summary. Could also just be summarized as the latest in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes fandom really wanting Jeph Loeb to leave their show alone already.)

So: in Josh Keaton's own (scrupulously fair) tumblr post on the subject he mentions having been replaced for a singing role once by Roger Bart. Which makes me super chuffed because I have believed for years that Roger Bart would do a fabulous Spider-Man voice, and now that idle brainwave is backed up by real life synergy! Aw yeah.

(If you're wondering why I think Bart would be such a great fit, I have a three-step proof for you:

1. Listen to this song, or this one.
2. Immediately go reread your favorite panels or pages of Spidey banter.
3. You're welcome!)

In other Spidey news, I've decided that the true mark of adulthood is when you joyously purchase accessories that you would’ve spurned as too childish when you were 12. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. (Happy birthday to me!)
