Am home now. The paper - handed in, and returned with comments I haven't read yet (but the body of the e-mail says he found it "very favorable" - didn't even mind my gimmick of using footnotes in a paper about footnotes). Gerbils - handed off to
trinfinity2001 for the month. This trip was ... interesting, to say the least. The first plane was so hot I couldn't really sleep, and I lost my gameboy in the second. I really thought it was gone, my sweet, comfortable limited edition NES decal game boy advance SP, but luckily the baggage people turned out to have it in their lost and found when my mother called. She also drove me all the way back to the airport again once we worked all this out. My mommy rocks, etc.
Also, yes, I am horribly materialistic.
Alba and Gruffudd have no chemistry with each other - this I discovered after seeing Fantastic Four on the plane. Wasn't as bad as I thought - there were some genuine Moments in there, mostly having to do with Ben Grimm ("How many times have I asked you to do something you said you absolutely wouldn't?" "Five!" *storm-off* "...I had it at FOUR."a), and the bad parts were for the most part funny bad rather than eyesporking bad. Alba especially was bland, but it didn't actually seem to be her fault so much as the script and the general idea of casting - and even then, it looked like they were trying to create the Sue Storm I'm familiar with - just incompetently. Evans was good, Gruffudd was not at his best but shone while with Chiklis, as I said before. Oh, but poor, poor Victor, what did they do to your character?
Added a bunch of icons. Possibly a few too many Robins!
