Deathly Hallows, Part 1

I was so tempted to come in and write a post saying "I HAVE IT!!" as soon as I got home. However, that would have required me turning on my computer, logging on, and then turning it off. And knowing how I am it wouldn't have been possible: When I get online I can't just do one thing. It expands to several like LJ, email accounts (all four of them), DA, general surfing, and then forcing myself away from the computer hours later. I was exhausted but super excited last night. I was actually about 50 pages from finishing Book 6 and I wanted to finish it before starting the 7th. So last night I read the last 50 pages all while "Deathly Hallows" looked at me from the corner of my eye, sitting on my bed, begging for me to begin reading it. I finished the book and was WAY too tired to stay up so I begrudgingly set Book 7 on my night stand after returning Book 6 to its rightful place on my shelves.

This morning I gave the book a proper opening. I swear I almost didn't want to read it! It's the last one, I can't believe it! After this there will be no more speculation and any further questions about Harry Potter's world shall be left up in the air. I can't stand that JKR won't be writing about it anymore. ;_; I've been reading this book WAY slower than I actually read; many times I've gone back to read something again--especially Chapter 4. So far I love it. Fred and George have made me laugh so much, and I am loving how Ron is with Hermione. I almost don't even want to finish it. Pathetic, I know. It's a book: Fiction. But when you've practically grown up alongside the characters it's hard to let go--even if there are two movies left. XD Book 1 was released in 1997, I think, but I didn't get my hands on it until Christmas of 1998 (9th grade). I love how the tone of the books have grown up and matured alongside its title character.

Well, back to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! I'll probably pop back in once in a while for ranting with spoilers behind a cut. You have no idea how hard it is for me to not click the cuts of all you people who have finished it already. XD
